Summer Students (multiple positions)
Due to COVID-19 the commencement of Summer Students will be based on a “phased in” approach and
dependent on the re-opening of services. All Summer Students will commence no later than July 12, 2021.
$14.25 per hour, plus 4% vacation and statutory holiday pay as per the Employment Standards Act
Temporary Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Reporting to a Unit Supervisor, these positions are designed to provide assistance and support to
Child Protection workers in the Assessment and Support, Permanency and Resource Departments along
with ad hoc support across all other agency Departments.
The successful candidate will be enrolled in a Post-Secondary establishment preferable in a Bachelor of Social Work or Master of Social Work program from a recognized university and returning to school in the Fall of 2021 on a full-time basis; demonstrated ability to write clear, concise reports, computer literate and familiarity with spreadsheet programs; excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. The successful candidate must possess a valid G driver’s license; have access to a personal vehicle and proof of $2,000,000 liability insurance coverage. Successful candidate will required to provide a Criminal Reference Check, satisfactory to the Agency, and a Driver’s Abstract from the Ministry of Transportation.
